Let's talk about your metrics. 📊

Numbers have the power to evoke a range of emotions, from stress and insecurity to joy and confidence. This is especially true when it comes to analytics around our content.

Creating content that others enjoy requires effort, but looking at analytics provides valuable insights into how our audience responds to that effort.

You likely fall into 1 of 3 camps:

  1. You don't pay attention to analytics and just keep posting.

  2. You look at your numbers, but you don't have a clear understanding of what's performing best and, more importantly, why.

  3. You track, review, and maintain a healthy relationship with your analytics.

This article is particularly relevant to those in camps 1 and 2.

Those in camp 3 might seem like data-obsessed outliers, but with the right system in place, you don't need to spend all your time analyzing data.

The right systems are simply tools that guide your decisions, much like a budget helps you manage your finances.

Improving your relationship with analytics allows you to make data-backed connections that confirm your hunches.

For example, you might feel insecure that people want to hear more about a certain subject, but data gives you the confidence to dive in and spend time exploring.

With AI making content creation increasingly accessible, I believe the creators who can effectively utilize their analytics will not only be less overwhelmed but also connect more deeply with their audience and scale their impact.

Data is a significant advantage. It's why so many companies offer their products for free, yet many creators don't utilize the data they're creating.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on using metrics to make your life easier and more productive?
